Why: For area youth, community recreation; identified as one of the top priorities for the District (2006 RVMD Parks & Open Space Master Plan, community survey)

Who: Board of Directors of the Roxborough Village Metropolitan District (RVMD)

Design Concepts ( Lafayette, CO ) - site plan, landscape architecture
Mulhern MRE ( Englewood, CO ) - engineering
R. S. Wells, LLC ( Greenwood Village ) - District management

How: District funding and two grants ( Great Outdoors Colorado, which is supported by Colorado Lottery proceeds, is worth up to $200,000; Philip Miller Grant from Douglas County is worth $225,000). Both grants are reflective of the wide-spread support for this project from the Board of County Commissioners, community leaders, and the entire Roxborough community. The District provides matching funds for design, engineering, and construction.
